Deran swiftly passed in between the buildings. He felt trapped, as if the weight from his families death would crush him. His stomach felt sick as he leaned against a wall, clinging to its rocky surface. Beads of sweat formed on his brow, as he shakily searched in his pockets. Finally, his fingers touched the small box, and he quickly pulled out a small pill. He put it in his mouth, and let it lay there as he drank from its sweet taste. Deran closed his eyes as he pushed all his memories and his emotions into the back of his mind. He needed to stay here, in London, he needed to face his past and move on.

Rigoletto had been in London though he had not been, here for him self the Head Master had asked him for a favor & so he found him self here. It was nothing to rash or something he could not of done him self of course but, being Head Master meant he had a lot of matters to deal with so it was a help to have Rigoletto or others to do things for him or at least that was how Rigoletto saw it.
It was not long tell he was done with his so called task, so it was time to return to tell Albus what he found out & learned on top of what he had. But, as he passed an area he since a presents close by, though it was not a being watched feeling more that there was some one close, Then a smell came to him, a vampire they where close & it did not make him fear it but, it was a fact that most if not all vampires had there own smell one that to others of there kind gave them away unless they used a spell but, even then some times they could still be found by smell that is if one was looking for them but, even if vampires had a smell one could not tell one vampire form another unless they knew the vampire or meet them for there was a hint of another smell then other then the one that appeared to fallow all vampires.

Deran, let go of the wall, his senses cleared. His memories were tucked safely away. Deran turned, his head ached, the smell...the smell. There was another vampire nearby. Deran clutched at his dagger which he kept hidden beneath his cloak. Had they come to find him? To take him down the last member of his clan? No, it couldn't be. It was impossible, and he had just arrived in London, his first time back in 500 years. Deran quickly put his hood over his face, shrouding himself in the dark. He quickly walked towards the prescence, trying to stay out of sight from the other vampire.

Rigoletto had continued on the same path he had been on but, he was a alert now ready for a fight if it came to it he was use to fighting & over the many years he had learned much, his mask was on his face as always but, it was a reminder of what was under it, a betrayal & the out come of it. As he moved on the smell of the other vampire grew stronger & when he knew them to be close he stopped, his eyes flickered as they searched the darkness for the other vampire. His eyes could peers the darkness but, if the other vampire had some age to them it would be a bit harder but, there where few vampires older then him self so many of his kind left him be when they knew this & only a few dared to challenge him, not that he could no be beat it was more doing it. The hood of his cloak was still hiding his face & his spoke there was a bit of edge to his tone though it was not threatening for the time being but, then it showed no emotion ether. “I know you are there face me” He might of said more but, at the moment he was not in the mood to draw to much notice to him self .

Deran rested his hand on the hilt of his dagger, the mans emotionless voice hinted that he was older and in more control of his powers. Deran smiled, his hood shadowing his face. Deran quietly approached, his face falling when he knew that this vampire had no part in his clans death. The vampire was massive, and very tall. A mask covered his face, he had never seen him before. Deran drew his hand away from his dagger, he held out his hands in a kind offering. Deran stepped out of the shadows, his hood falling from his face revealing his intense blue eyes and scared yet handsome face. The metal bracelet on his right wrist glinted in the sunlight, the symbol of his leadership in the Kieler clan. He spoke softly, "Friend, I come in peace." If this vampire was older, he would recognize the symbol of the bracelet, and Deran studied his face waiting for the strange man in front of him to react.

Rigoletto saw the other vampire, move out of the shadows he had not missed his hand on the dagger that moved away as he approached but, Rigoletto was still on guard he saw the other vampire hold out his hand as if they where friends, Rigolettos eyes had flickered form his hand to Deran he did not miss the bracelet nor, did he miss its meaning though it was not something he had seen for many years the last time he saw one was 500 years ago when heck appeared to break lose & because of it many vampires where killed, others where forced into hidden & humans where not only killed but, they had found more reason to hate the vampire race such a time had not been good & he was unsure if time had real cooled the hat that had come in that time.
Even with him working as a Professor & trusted by, the Head Master, as well a few others he was not saying that all did trusted him or ever would at least those that had students that where ether half bloods or muggle born not that the pure bloods would trust him any better but, they had for the most part be around longer to know of more facts & events with the so called vampires.
With the other mans words he looked at him, he did not reach for his hand -Friends I come in peace- Even for a vampire that was odd to say, perhaps it was a sign the other vampire did not want to fight but, Rigoletto was ready in case he always was, few places did he ever let down his guard. His eyes flickered before he spoke “Do you assume that because we are what we are that it makes use friends, mealy because of it?” He knew he might becoming of harsh but, it was his nature any more something he had learned over time. “Any one can say they come in peace, why should I believe you?” He knew now he was being harsh but, since things that had happened with his son he was more leery then before & in many ways more deadly.

Deran smiled, letting his hands fall to his sides. He quickly scanned the vampire in front of him. He noticed the mask, the meaning registering behind its owner. He took care not to stare at it, and to hide the fact that he had even noticed it.
"I don't believe that because that we are of the same, that we are friends. In fact, it puts me on even higher alert. I know that we have met before, not in introductions, but during a time when many people, of all races and abilities were slaughtered. I said we were friends becuase I wanted to see if you knew who I was and your reaction. That is why I showed you my bracelet, and my scars. I believe you also have a certain item, your mask, that hides what happened during that time....the betrayal and loss of those close to us."
Deran paused carefully studying the vampire, he believed to be called Rigoletto. "I believe at a time we were fighting for the same thing, and that you were not one of the many that killed my clan, and many of the humans. I have a higher level of trust in you, but it has been a long time, and people can change over that time. As you know, I don't wish to fight...I have been fighting for a very long time and have grown very tired of it. This also raises the question of why I am here, seeing how this place I will find many more people who will want to kill me. I have come back mainly to grieve, something I still have yet to do."
Deran looked straight at Rigoletto, his face emotionless, as he hid his deepest burden. His grief and sorrow had only grown worse with the passing of time, and the many betrayals and lost love. He was an outcast, doomed to suffer and live alone till the end of time...or until he died...with his honor still in place. "May I ask why you have come to stay in this place, the place where I believe, we both became outcasts to the world and hide our mistakes and pasts with scars?"

Rigoletto heard Deran words he had good idea who the man was but, as he pointed out people can change & Rigoletto was not one that trusted easy. The mask only hid part of the reason he said, of the scaring that had come form that time but, even more had come form the Dark Lords hand when he was betrayed & then cursed by the Dark Lord.
“There have been mean fights between many races even some as you say durning the sam time, it is the same when it comes to death & even with your bracet what is to say you are who that bracete says” He knew there where ways to change apperence, there was a way to make one think that some one was some one else with out a potion so with the way things where right now Rigoletto was carful on those he said anything to.
With his last words he spoke “I return for my own reasons, for now that I with hold as you said people can change” He was not about in danger his son, with anyone that he did not fully trust. He watched him before he spoke “Perhaps you will find the peace you are in search of”

Deran smiled grimly. He touched his bracelet remembering how he had shown the other vampire he meet earlier the secret behind it, so she could trust him. He could do the same with Rigoletto and show him the books of ages, but he still didn't know if Rigoletto was working with someone else to find Deran, and destroy his clan's history.
"Perhaps." Deran knew in his heart he would never find it, but maybe, just maybe he could learn to live again. Deran rested his hand on the wall, his skin even going paler in color. He fumbled around in his cloak searching for the pill box, but remembered he had given it to someone else, who had cooly let them fall to the ground, crushing their red outer casings, making the blood go to waste.
Deran forced himself to stand up, not wanting to show weakness in front of Rigoletto. He had been searching for the longest time for an animal that was dying or already dead. He hated taking life, even if it was to sustain his own. "I've heard there has been a lot of killings going on, with the others. Have the humans been blaming it on us, are they still afraid?" Deran managed to ask, as he concentrated all his strength on being able to stand up, which meant his emotions could no longer be hidden ever so carefully.
A bird had swopped down and began to pick at the ground, its wing slightly broken. Deran's eyes turned a slight red, but he blinked it away, focussing on Rigoletto's answer.

Rigoletto heard Deran’s words it was said as it he had been wondering the dark for a long time that he had lost all sight of any hope of any light but, then again when you live so long you where bond to find such darkness at one point in your life. There was not missing as he rested his head against the wall or the coloring in his skin, his eyes flickered a moment as he saw Deran reach into his cloak, he had though for a moment it would indeed turn into a fight but, he at least could dismiss it when Deran moved a empty hand from his cloak.
With Deran words he looked at him before he spoke “Humans or at least many will always fear use, they have lived quite long with the stories that make use one of legends & creatures of the dark. But, no they are not blaming us for the deaths now, even with the fighting with the others it has stayed between them & not moved to repeat history, at least with it being with vampires but, there is one that has been killing likely just as badly as before & it is enough to shake the wizarding world with a fear, something that with any luck will not seep into the world of the humans”
There was not missing the sound of the light flapping of the bird as it landed close, much like Deran Rigoletto looked at it but, his need for blood was not there & oddly he had found reason to give life or save it if he could but, he watched Deran unsure what he would do but, there was a flicker of a moment that he though he might of seen the look of hunger so he said nothing for the moment as he watched Deran.
Deran forced himself to stand up, not wanting to show weakness in front of Rigoletto. He had been searching for the longest time for an animal that was dying or already dead. He hated taking life, even if it was to sustain his own. "I've heard there have been a lot of killings going on, with the others. Have the humans been blaming it on us, are they still afraid?" Deran managed to ask, as he concentrated all his strength on being able to stand up, which meant his emotions could no longer be hidden ever so carefully. “You would be better off with a potion or piles, though for one as your self it surprised me you do not have such a thing with you”

Deran frowned slightly at the mention of the killings, he wondered if that was the same person the other vampire he had met talked about. Had the Dark Lord really grasped fear over everyone's hearts. Deran studied the bird carefully, feeling as if life was slipping from the little winged creature. He couldn't eat it, it would ruin him if ever ate such a free creature...a creature in which he was remined of his little sister, Nira in.
Deran smiled, "I did....that is until a couple of hours ago. I had a full box of pills, but they were crushed and alas wasted. It is very hard to eat off of the ground. I haven't had time to go back home and make some more, after finding some food before hand. I've heard that people are getting a little anxious about their hunting grounds. It hasn't affected me at all, I don't like to kill healthy things, but perfer it when the natural order of life is about to take them away." Deran stated as he left out the fact that the other vampire had let them fall to the ground after he had offered her some to help her heal.
The little dying bird was trying to find something to eat, but struggled with producing any luck. Deran reached into his pocket, and broke off a little piece of bread, he had bought at the market that morning. He threw it onto the ground and watched the bird go over to it, inspect it, and begin to eat.

Rigoletto heard Deran words, it felt odd that he said he had but, then lost them it had made him wonder if there had been a fight or something else but, he was not about to ask. “I not sure about that some vampires I am sure, have eaten of the ground”
With the words of the hunting grounds he spoke “In many ways it is true, ether one vampire wants more or another does not wise others to hunt on there lands & a few simple do not want the killing as if to keep some form of order not that it always works” There was not missing his actions with the bird, Rigoletto moved to reach into his cloak removing a small veal of blood potion before holding it out to Deran “It should help you at least tell you find something better”

Deran listened to Rigoletto's answer about the hunting grounds, which confirmed his observations. Deran looked at Rigoletto as he held out the potion. "I wasn't going to eat the bird, if you were wondering. I don't like hurting them." Deran cautiously took the small vesel and inspected it. Did he trust the man before him enough to drink from something he had really no knowledge of.
Deran handed it back to Rigoletto, "Like, I've said people change. Thank you for the offering, but I'm afraid I don't trust you fully yet. I can manage to find something else to eat." Deran smiled, his strength slightly returning from the prescence of the bird.

Rigoletto heard his words “You would not of gotten much blood form the bird any way” He took the potion back before he spoke “I can not say I trust you fully ether but, there is an area of forest to the north that you might find something if you do not return home & it is not so fought over ether so you would stand a better chance on not being found”
Even with this spoke Rigoletto watched him & waited to see what he would do, as he placed the veil back where it belonged. He knew he did not fully trust the vampire but, at least for once it had not come down to a fight.

Deran nodded, "Thank you. I'm sorry to cut our meeting short, but I have to go and eat." Deran smiled, almost relieved that they had not fought. Deran picked up the bird and bound its wing with a corner of his cloak. The bird flew away, as Deran turned and left, disappearing into the darkness from the way he had come.
