Remus sighed as the professor left the room. His grey eyes scanned the walls and floor and ceiling carefully, noticing everything. It was nothing that he hadn't seen before, but it was also something that he rarely had the chance to do. His latest book had been a disappointment. It had looked much more inviting than it actually had been-Remus judged books not just on their content, but how friendly they were to the reader. If they spoke mainly to themselves, then they were not as good as those books that talked to the readers.
The boy sighed, and brushed his hair back. Many a time he had gotten odd looks for his view of books, and he had gotten used to it. He forgot about the book and focused on his hair. He was not a self-conscious boy, but he ran his hand down its amber-brown length. He hadn't got a hair cut in a while, but thankfully Hogwarts didn't have a regulation hair cut for boys. To be specific, though, Remus had pulled it back in a ponytail this morning. He thought that he looked better with it short, but a giggling girl, most likely on a dare, had complimented him on it earlier today, and, at James' urging, he had pulled it back.
The day's lesson had been a review-Remus hadn't payed much attention to it. However, he looked up, startled, as someone entered the room.

Snape entered the room, oddly he was never late & the only reason he was is the Professor excuses him form it telling he needed him to do something else. Snape agreed since it meant he did not have to be in the class with Black & Potter, the two always found spot with him & it drove him madder that Jamie’s stole his spells & ideas form him claiming them form his own.
Though Lily did speak to him, it was clear that Black & Potter had been speaking with him, the though angered him even more, though he said nothing on it. He knew he would have to speak with her on it, though he feared it in many ways more then anything else he had dealt with so far.
His eyes only flickered over the students once, dark though they where there was a fire there that had been there for some time but, knows after all these years had grown. It was clear with the students that he had little trouble when it came to dueling, he had already been in fights & normally he was the winner, though he did lose at times but, that normally happened when Lily showed up speaking with him not to fight.
How easily he oddly obeyed & how easily he fell prey to the others that would & where to happy to beat him up. Only to leave him later where he could, crawl off to lick his wounds. They would get what was coming to them, he knew that he would be sure to see to it though right now he had to bid his time & wait, something he was not thrilled with.
He took his seat but, said nothing nor did his eyes or body give off what he was thinking at that moment. After he took a seat he reached for his text book, that he had already wrote in changing things & protecting more spells, he knew that later he would have to hid the book some where so it was not found by others but, for know, it gave him something to do.

Remus bit his lip as Severus entered the room and sat down. Remus actually felt bad that he couldn't stop his friends' teasing of the Slytherin boy, and attempted to make up for it between classes. However, Severus turned him away every single time. Remus wasn't one to give up, though, and so as the other boy sat down near him he turned to face him. "Good morning." His tone was light, friendly, hopeful. It would be nice for him to have another friend, Remus thought to himself. It would do him good. He nodded to himself, and flashed a smile at Severus.
It was interesting. Despite the fact that Severus made fun of him for his illness, Remus still attempted to make friends every chance he got. Of course, it had to be when Peter, James, and Sirius weren't around, and that was not often. However, when the chance did come up, Remus made a point of smiling at the other boy.
The werewolf-boy glanced down at his books, and at the quill pen in his hand. He had been doodling absently while watching Severus, and so was surprised to find ink stains on his pale skin. He blushed, and a girl tittered softly somewhere in the back row. He didn't know her, and she didn't know him. He didn't care what she was laughing about, really. His focus was on the Slytherin boy.
In some ways, Severus was very much like him. Quiet, teased, a bookworm... his dark eyes had the same quality as Remus'-harder than most, and much older. However, Remus' eyes smiled, and Severus' frowned. It was this main difference that, Remus concluded, separated them from each other. Otherwise, they might be great friends.
"How are you, Severus?" Remus asked politely, combing his fingers through his ponytail absently.

Snape did not miss Remus actions, oddly he did not hate the boy but, since he was friends with Black & Potter he simply avoided him, he knew he was not being fair for treating him the way he did but, he figuered if he keep at it he would get the answer he seeked to why he was always ill at certion times. He had his thoughs on it but, he had not proven it yet, one time he would get his answer.
He looked at Remus "Fine" He said not more but, at least he had spoken, though it might of delt with that for once James & Sirus where not right beside Remus or himself.

Remus nodded, and smiled. "The Professor went out of the room-any idea why?" The werewolf ran his fingers over the feather of his quill pen. It was one of James', not his, so the pen was much shabbier than his usual ones. James didn't take as much care with his supplies at Remus did, however, the long-haired boy had lost his other quill. The irony was not lost on him.
After a second, Remus realized that Severus had not made a snide remark about the length of his hair. It was very long indeed, and it was hard not to notice. Remus' smile grew even wider. Perhaps he was getting through to the Slytherin boy. It had taken long enough, that was for certain. However, James and Sirius' teasing would have a big impact on Severus, and Remus didn't expect them to become close buddies any time soon. But being on speaking terms certainly was a start.

Snape heard Remus words, he found it odd the boy was speaking to him & with it he answered a bit quick but, in a way that would one day be his nature. "Perhaps to get away" Though he did not know why he was speaking to Remus but, it might of delt with he was not the main force when it came to bullying him, though this did not mean they would be seen as friends ether.

Remus snorted, surprised. "Professor Soto? Get away from class?" The Professor was known for his love of teaching, and so the werewolf-boy found it surprising that Severus would suggest that. "I think that he would rather die than skip out on class. You know he loves us." He winked at Severus, then turned back to face the front of the class.
It was dark in Professor Soto's classroom, as always. It looked like a hurricane had come in and messed everything up-the professor's desk was a wreck, and papers were scattered everywhere. Remus looked down at the floor-only slightly dusty. The desks were well-used and worn, and he liked them that way.
Remus turned back to Severus. "Have you read any good books lately, Severus? My last one wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be, and I'm at a loss for what to read next."

"I am sure he has his reasons for leaving" He looked closly at Remus, with his last words he spoke again "I am not sure if you would be intrested in what I have read, though I am sure the libery would hold somthing that would intrested you" With that he did not know if Remus would speak again of not but, it would be intesting.

Remus shook his head. "Of course I'd be interested in what you've read! Why wouldn't I-" He was cut off as the professor entered the room. He stared for a moment, trying to take in the odd sight before him. The professor was tall, and handsome. His robes were perfect, and he wore white gloves that looked like they had just come out of the package. One of them was cupped around a small white mouse, which the professor set down on the table before turning his attention to the class. However, Remus turned back to face Severus. "I think the professor this year is a bit different, Severus. What do you say? He hasn't really told us much about himself, so it's a bit of a mystery as to who he really is. I, personally, can't tell. He doesn't leave the castle much at all..."

Snape heard his words, he was about to say something when the Professor said something so his eyes moved to looked at the Professor before he heard Remus words “True he has told use nothing of him self but, to get the answer you are after would be to fallow him & that would be at times breaking the rules” He knew that Remus at times broke the rules who did not but, it was all in not getting caught though Snape knew with Remus words he did wonder why the Professor did not leave much, as if he was a vampire or perhaps a werewolf. “But, then I suppose for you the rules are mad to be broken, perhaps when the moon is not full you will be more interested in learning the answer to such a question” He was not looking to be friends but, he could not realy pass up a mystery ether a down side he knew but, why not it was his last year might as well do something for fun.

Remus recoiled mentally from the sharp jab that Severus made, but simply laughed. "The stars look the best on the night of the full moon!" He joked, pushing the snide comment to the side. It wasn't his fault that he was a werewolf, not at all. He hated Fenrir Greyback to death-the one person that Remus really did hate.
"As for the professor, I highly doubt that he is a vampire or a werewolf. He is... a bit too eccentric to be either, eh? Have you noticed?" Remus smiled mysteriously. "He wears white gloves just about all the time. And he carries a white mouse. I like him." The werewolf nodded, and leaned back in his chair.
"It is true, though, that I rarely break the rules. They are there for a reason, and I'm sure some old wrinkly wizard spent a lot of his time coming up with them, so I might as well not waste that poor man's time." Remus laughed softly.

Snape’s eyes showed a bit of surprise at Remus words but, he was quick to answer “I will take your word for it” He heard his words “Perhaps, you are right in some ways” He looked at him with his last words “I am sure you do, so long as your friends do not choose you into breaking the rules when they choose to. His eyes flickered because he knew that they where both right in many ways though it was not likely that, ether of them would admit it openly at least for the time being. Snape turned to look back at the Professor as he waited for class to continue, so that it could be over & they could leave, he did not know what would happen then with Remus & him self but, he was not looking forward to what might happen with James & himself but only time would tell what would happen or would be..
